It's cold and I have a purring cat next to me. Getting out of bed is particularly hard today.

I'm not saying there aren't some individuals that have responded miraculously to homemade yogurt or whatever, even faith healing, but it is even more rare than someone who responds against all odds as well as K did to her low dose chemo. That is why they studied her. Evil Big Pharma wanted to know every single thing about a patient that had such a great response with no side affects. They really do study that stuff and take it seriously.
Now what she had to go through, and what everyone that is sick and not super wealthy has to go through to get treatment is another matter. Medicaid in Florida means treatment for a month or so, bureaucratic screwup and no treatment for a month or so, repeat cycle endlessly. She was fortunate to have family and friends to fight the battles time and time again, but so many don't. So they die.
Any hope I had for fixing the healthcare delivery system has died with the new administration. Senators can get treatment!
My department is now gripped in a tense discussion of whether a hot dog is a sandwich. What is a sandwich? Is it defined by the bread? Or is any food wrapped up in something edible a sandwich? Thus, are tacos sandwiches? The argument fades, then someone pops up with "Do the condiments change the question?"
Do. Not. Bring. Up. Muffalettas.
"So, you eat cereal out of bowl. Does that make it soup?" He had things thrown at him.
Or is any food wrapped up in something edible a sandwich?
Hell no. Wraps are not sandwiches. Never mind (say) cornish pasties!
Thanks a lot. Now I'm hungry again.
We just had the most enormous pot luck, and I am totally stuffed. And I scored the leftover Chinese food, so I will be eating that out of the take-out cartons over the weekend. It gives me such pleasure.
Wraps are not sandwiches. But I'm gonna say that waffles, for example, can be used in place of bread and still make a sandwich. You can make a hot dog sandwich by slicing the hot dogs in half and putting them between slices of bread, but as long as the bun cradles the hot dog it is not a sandwich.
Fwiw, Kai Ryssdal has strong feeling on this sandwich debate. Everyone should follow him on twitter.
So would you say that sandwiches are generally wider than they are tall?
