"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

now regret it but feel that if they say anything they'll get vilified

I will totally vilify them. In detail and at length.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

You know how people toss off that phrase "nothing but contempt"?

Well, that is literally how I feel toward Trump voters: Nothing But Contempt.

I don't care whether they did it because they were stupid and didn't understand the consequences of his presidency, or they were assholes, and did understand but benefitted from the evil.

In either instance: Nothing But Contempt.

Thrive to spite them

There are a few people on my life I'm not sure how they voted and I don't want to know because theyou are so important to me.

It's complicated but I'd rather just assume my dad didon't vote than add tissue level of complication to our already complicated relationship. And one of my aunts.

It's this neural zone I'm making because I'm not ready to deal with it. But that is me and them.

Our wings are not tired.

I got a plaque for 10 years at my job.

My morning eyes read that you got the plague, and in theory it could have happened, so I was relieved to re-read.

The Producers was good fun. 2017. More shows more often.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

There are a few people on my life I'm not sure how they voted and I don't want to know because theyou are so important to me.

Yeah, I was actually pretty upset to find out that some relatives had voted for him. They are die-hard republicans, but were totally against him over the summer! It's depressing.

Our wings are not tired.

I think that part disgusts me the most. I know some that had properly called him a completely unacceptable candidate and they loved XYZ Republican, then turned around and voted for him anyway. Nothing about that vote is an excuse for me. I can't look at them the same way.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I'm leaving my work next week (on Tuesday), and my going away shindig was today because reasons.

My coworkers wrote to me the following greeting:

"Dear Shir,

Lots and lots of good luck! You are terrific, it's clear that

"

Yes, it ended there. And yes, though it was an honest human error, it speaks volumes (my job was to jump into data and libtech issues that had to do with several products/sides and understand what the hell was going on).

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

While I can understand all the reasons someone might have voted for him, I don't care. It's partly my own issues at play; I've literally spent my life making excuses for people who have done damage to me, and I'm sick of it. Trump voters (and 3rd-party voters and vote abstainers, to a lesser degree) have done horrible damage to my country and my people, and I'm not making or accepting any excuses for their stupid dangerous choice.

Their excuses come down to "I was scared" or "I was fooled" or "I didn't know" or "I was angry about Obama" or "I just hated Clinton". Cry me a river, baby. You fucked us up.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

It's partly my own issues at play; I've literally spent my life making excuses for people who have done damage to me, and I'm sick of it.

My therapist and I talked about exactly that this morning. And other stuff. Fucking gaslighting that reminds me of my childhood, for one.

I don't want to be tinfoil hatty, but this whole thing of attacking the media and immediately calling for a investigation into voter fraud seems like exactly the sort of thing to do to work towards subverting the next election.

It's not tinfoil hatty, Lawrence Douglas agrees with you:
