Right. Piano. Because that's what we used to kill that big demon that one time. No, wait. That was a rocket launcher.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I can't stop watching Flash Gordon. I was just trying to skew the ratings, but now the cheese has totally sucked me in.

Coding and Sleeping

Flash Gordon is an awesome movie. Not a good movie by any means, but an awesome one.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I met my Congressional Rep, to thank him for not attending the Inauguration! Then I drove some more, and now I am at my favorite Ethiopian restaurant for consolation injera.

Without the Queen soundtrack, it wouldn't be nearly as fantastic.

Compassionately intolerant

Without the Queen soundtrack, it wouldn't be nearly as fantastic.

True that.

I feel the same way, for the same reasons, about the early days of the Highlander series.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I just saw an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation where Picard is captured and tortured. The Cardassian keeps trying to make Picard say there were five lights shining when there were clearly only four. I think the idea was that once you were trained to disbelieve the truth you could see on orders of a controlling power, they could make you do anything they wanted. Seems timely.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Chain of Command! What an episode. Patrick Stewart owns everything.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I finally just got the ancient media computer to boot into Windows again, and it tried to start me back at the beginning of The Musketeers. I'm started to wonder if it's Groundhog Day.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I called to ask my boss a question about how to join a skype meeting that I could not find. Turns out I couldn't find it because it was yesterday. She asked, "Are you alright?" "Apparently not. I've been fighting this nasty cold that's going around, and I don't think I'm winning." "Go home."

I love my boss. (I had to buy groceries for the house before I left, but I am home now.)
