Coding and Sleeping

Two days a week my commute is going downstairs. The others it is 55 miles.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Lots of them in Florida, Laura. I'm sure Zoe would love a little BFF.

One of the my rescues (ie, where I volunteer, donate or follow) has a puppy this year. Foster, a Bernese baby from One Tail at a Time.

hip deep in pie

God, I would love a Bernese. (My 2nd favourite dog breed.) But no other pets while Oz is around.

Did I mention he's been diagnosed with asthma? We just got the kitty inhaler, and even though I'm starting with the mask and trying to introduce it during play...he knows. I filled it with catnip, put it front him. He backed away from it and gave me a look that said, "WTF is that!?!"

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Congrats on the new job, Jesse!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh dear, Sue -- I can't even imagine trying to get a mask on the cat!

High-fives my fellow 90s teens.

Because it's raining (??), it took me more than an hour to get home and I can confirm that was too long. Also I was standing the whole time.

Thanks to all for the congrats!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I had a commute that was 1.5 hours one time. That lasted for about 6 months and I quit. The job wasn't THAT good.

As an asthmatic human who also avoids the inhaler thingy, I can't even imagine getting a cat to agree to it! I don't wike it.

Okay. Been feeling good, been working all day, took a nap, now I'm armed with a drink and I'm going back in.

Our wings are not tired.

Beachfront Avenue!

Ha, hardly a day goes by that I don't drive A1A. Always a bit of a longer and slower drive, but so worth it. There are always joggers, bikers, surfers, and other peeps enjoying the beach and I find it uplifting just knowing I could stop and get sand in my toes if I wanted.

I'm sure Zoe would love a little BFF.

She would, but I am casually looking for a kitty friend for her right now. I've had multiple dogs before, but mostly I like one of each.

Yes, I only have officemates for 2-3 days a week, but I have one who 'hilariously' shares with me a horrid racist Baltimore map composed by a clueless white dude labeling vast swaths The Wire* , hipsters, scary mall, Botox, etc, and my response? Lemme show you the redlining maps going back decades. And the placement of things like zipcar and the bike rentals. And the transit line cancellations. And let me ask you, how did you think that map happened and what it says about the creator and fans? Make you feel good to live in 'botoxed housewives'?

I'm humorless on this topic, best learn early, self described bubba from NJ.

* Sonja Sohn, from The Wire, and her cast mates have championed Baltimore endlessly. She's even got a documentary in the works. And Simon is a defender as well. So not on them.
