That sounds delightful, Connie. Being able to let go of worry...

My mother's trying to get me to worry about the house, but I basically refuse? I figure, they took care of it for almost 40 years by basically dealing with shit as it came up, and I can do that.
I am puzzled by the fact that, in the new building, we share the floor with a pediatric practice, and yet the bathrooms lack a changing table. And it isn't that the practice has its own bathrooms (though it may) because I encounter clients with babies and kid in the bathroom all the time.
(And I suspect my getting sick factor just multiplied.)
Yep, that sure sounds like a lot of potential germs. Good luck.
Here's to developing a finely tuned immune system!
Test run of the new delivery service (I had them send me dinner too): pretty good. I got beef & butternut squash over pasta with arugula and pesto. Not too much packaging, and it heated up pretty well. Tasted a bit restauranty but the portion was reasonable in size. I'll give it a bit and then call Dad & see if he liked his, which was supposed to be a piece of salmon and some vegetables, I think.
Good-things~ma, hippocampus!
Connie, you relaxing into your own space is lovely to watch.
I could use some hang-on-to-the-job ~ma. Someone got fired from my department today, not an editor but still too close to home. Changes in the way our department manages our process meant his position was unnecessary. There are rumblings, and I'm feeling the earth move under my feet and not in the fun way.
This is not helping my nerves.
All kinds of job~ma, Zen. That's so rough to go through.
Woot! Go Cubs!
Cubbies!
I left work around 8 and paused to check the score as I walked by the ESPN radio broadcast booth. There were a dozen or so homeless folks gathered there, watching the game and engaging in typical sports bar banter. 3rd inning, Cubs were up... I headed for my car. As I was getting into my car I heard a roar of cheers from the crowd I'd just passed through (plus the people in front of the Chicago Theatre). I missed the grand slam! And I couldn't get the game on radio until I got out of the garage and out from under the L tracks. It was neat to see that crowd enjoying the game though.
