You'd never make it. I'd rip your spine out before you got half a step. Those little legs wouldn't be much good without one of those.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Unspecified~ma, hippocampus

I don't know why I thought I had something arranged for lunch today. I do not. Unless a bag of chips and more sweets than I could shake a stick at will work. Hm.

And now that it's November, the old house is officially friend/landlord's responsibility. Now I have to train myself not to worry about things, wondering if the pipes are OK, etc. Friend/landlord is fully cognizant of the condition of the place, has accepted the status, it is no longer any of my worry.

Tep, do you know Spooky Daly Pride's Birthday Song [key lyric: today's my birthday and the cake is on fire]

I didn't, but now I'm going to check it out!

Appropriate and sufficient platage and utensils?

Oh, good call. If I bring disposables, then BiL and SiL (or their kids) don't have to wash any dishes.

Good things~ma, hippocampus!

Enjoy the lack of worries, Connie. I sometimes wish I had a house of my own, but every time something breaks (which isn't too terribly often), I'm relieved it's an issue for the landlord.

Knowing I'm in a professionally and continually maintained building is blissful.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

That sounds delightful, Connie. Being able to let go of worry...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My mother's trying to get me to worry about the house, but I basically refuse? I figure, they took care of it for almost 40 years by basically dealing with shit as it came up, and I can do that.

I am puzzled by the fact that, in the new building, we share the floor with a pediatric practice, and yet the bathrooms lack a changing table. And it isn't that the practice has its own bathrooms (though it may) because I encounter clients with babies and kid in the bathroom all the time.

(And I suspect my getting sick factor just multiplied.)

Yep, that sure sounds like a lot of potential germs. Good luck.
