I'm glad your cat is doing better, Jesse.
Good on you, bosses of Connie! I'm a fan of supportive communities and workplaces myself.
Yay swimming meara! Getting use to keeping your face in the water isn't always easy. They sell nose pinchy things if water up the nose is a problem. [link]
Yes, the painting is woefully incomplete. But I think it captures the essence of NC winters. I heard about tequila in drinking chocolate in a recent podcast, so I'll be giving that a shot tomorrow. Or possibly tonight.
But do your areas have a proper French Toast Alert System?? [link]
It was a real dilemma deciding what shoes to wear this morning. We're in the process of getting an inch of snow, but that's it. So I won't need proper footwear going home for sure, but also decided against my cutest, most slippery boots.
It is 59 degrees in my house.
It is 59 degrees in my house.
That is my optimal temperature for sleeping. A little chilly in the daytime.
I'm not sure of the inside temp, but it is 0 outside. And I actually have to go somewhere this afternoon. I may have to break out my snow jacket instead of the sherpa lined zip up I normally wear.
I don't wanna work today. Motivation is also at 0.
I also agree with everything WS said.
It is 59 degrees in my house.
That's lovely for outside but too cold for inside. I keep my house about 68 degrees F. My BFF wants it to be 75, and I'm languishing at 72. Funny how we all have different internal thermostats.
Today, the software that was working fine last night is borked. How is that possible.
It was cold enough to break out my argyle/burlap socks that may not need shoes and my favorite preppy/fratboy circa 1980s pullover that I hardly ever get a chance to wear.
flurries getting mac to school. he was VERY miffed that I got to work from home today. wah wah wah.
speaking of work. I have done morning reports and dealt with emails and have reports for today done (since we have no shipments). I will pay bills and that should be it. WHEE!
I am watching V for Vendetta. Never saw it and I figure at the point it is almost a study aid for things to come.
Man, as the Trump era rapidly approaches, I'm nervous about a lot of things.
Will Trump blow up the economy with stupid moves on trade? Seems really plausible.
Will Trump trash environmental protections? Looks like definitely.
Will Trump and the R's balloon the deficit? That seems pretty definite too.
Will Trump and the R's make things painful for the poor? Seems likely.
Will Trump and the R's create total chaos in the private healthcare market with repeal and delay? Seems likely.
Will we end up in a ground war in Iran? Seems plausible.
Will we roll back financial regulations and let banks over leverage again? Seems definite.
What makes me even more nervous? The R's not even considering a supreme court nomination last year and what is happening in North Carolina. I feel like the current generation of R's don't believe that liberals (or even moderates) have a legitimate right to office. That makes me worry about democracy in the country.
