Much love to you and your family, Consuela.
Man, six big salt lamps to surround me while I meditate would be awesome.
Calli, thanks for the info on importing LJ into Dreamwidth. I need to get on that.
msbelle, I'm collecting the Marvel Hallmark ornaments. I only have Spider-Man so far. If you see any of those I probably want them. Also would like Thundercats which I didn't even know they had!
Today is a good day and I'm cleaning my filthy messy house at last. Operation Get Shit Off The Floor has begun.
ok Zen. The only Marvel one I saw was Venom. I will go see if they have more and grab the Thundercat one.
Today is the last day.
Be mindful of yourself, Consuela. It'll probably take a bit for the echoes of always being at alert to fade.
So I was going to try the pool today, but was feeling twingey and didn't have any waterproof bandages and the pool was closing at 2 and I just couldn't work up the ambition at noon. So one more walk tonight. I'll welcome the new year with a swim.
I need to do a shitton of laundry. And tomorrow, clean house.
Sending peace and strength, Consuela, to you and your family
According to my pharmacist, today was a very busy day for everyone filling their prescriptions before their deductibles reset.
Aaaaauuuuhg. Guess who has a mouse in the basement? Apparently Buddy found a bag of wildflower seed I didn't know I had and has been gorging on it.
Saw something move out of the corner of my eye, went to investigate and so did he. I think we were equally surprised.
Will be getting a humane trap in the morning.
if you had someone living in your basement, I bet a mouse would not be there. JUST SAYIN'.
mouse or me? mouse or me? hmmmm

Oh shoot, I wish I'd thought of that. Oh well. next year's flexible spending account can handle it.
The hike and sushi and scotch sounds lovely, Consuela. I hope you have some easy times in your near future.
I saw a post from my friend in Amsterdam welcoming the new year, if "god help us with what is to come" can be considered a welcome. But the new year does seem to have arrived there.
I was planning on starting to clean my filthy house today, but that didn't work out. I have no other plans for tomorrow, though, so it WILL happen.
Meanwhile, finishing off my blueberry liqueur (yum!) and Luke Cage (also yum)
But I don't feel guilty for kicking the mouse out. Or yelling at it.
Scouring the basement for edibles, I discovered that some of the packing peanuts I have were a tasty snack. I'm guessing corn or potato based. I suspect it moved in this fall-probably the noises I heard in the kitchen ceiling during my convalescence. Not enough poop found for it to be long term boarder.
