Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Happy Birthday, Somervillains!

Happy birthday, Jesse and Theodosia!

I am at the airport. My flight to Chicago has been delayed 45 minutes. I have plenty of buffer time at O'Hare to make my connection to San Francisco, so I'm not going to curse out United just yet.

The status is NOT quo.

Much love, 'Suela. I'm sorry it's so hard.

pretty lazy day here. so many things I could do and THEN THEY'D BE DONE, but paralyzed by laziness and frustration.

I think I will go through mac's books and take a trip to half price books. It is the easiest way to get something out of the house and get money.

cleaning and yardwork and going through papers will wait.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Many happy returns birthday-istas! It is also my bellydance teachers birthday, we just had a mimosa-laden brunch for her, so maybe goodwill overfloweth.

Selling the books. 3 bags worth. My guess is maybe $10.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

We had a lovely Christmas. Driving to and back from northern Iowa was very good, both weather-wise and entertainment-wise. I "got" Dan an iPad for his present (as in he said there a really good deal on this iPad, what do you think? And I said Merry Xmas, let's go get it now.)

So I loathe long road trips because i can't read, but this year we ran the sound through the car stereo and watched/listened to the new Ghostbusters, and it was awesome!

We got Micah the Fitbit he never thought he'd get because his mom didn't want him to heave one, but her objections were ridiculous (she thinks he'll be up at night texting friends...it shows incoming texts, but doesn't send! And he's never done anything remotely naughty with his tech, so we were all "So you're preemptively punishing him for something he's never done? NOPE!") so we got it anyway. He runs track and cross-country! He made this amazing astonished goggle-eyed face and almost cried. It was awesome!

I saw my dad at the nursing home for the first time. I went by myself when we went to my mom's yesterday for Xmas. It really is a great facility...but I tried to keep it together during the visit, but lost it saying goodbye and fucking ugly-sobbed all the drive back to my mom's.

He didn't knows my name, but his face lit up when he saw me and we held hands the whole time. He called me "babe" twice and gave me long, tight hugs and kisses hello and goodbye.

Aww, strix. That's so hard.

I'm at a train museum? Because I wanted to see my bff and she and her wife were babysitting her nephews? It was kinda cool, but like $5 cool, not $17 cool.

Scrappy, your Christmas sounds like an awesome one to me! We only saw two movies
