oh, flea, I'm so sorry. Do say hi to Nutty for us, will you? I miss chatting with her.

I managed to run three miles! Go me! I have barely exercised the last month because of this cold, so it's nice to get my heart rate up again.

And now off to see if I can do some dog training with my sister. And then maybe pedicures, I hope.

brillig

I am heating water for tea in my new kettle, I have a selection of new-to-me cheeses to try out, and I'm warm inside watching my neighbor get a jump for his truck. The 3-5 inches of snow has been downgraded to rain and under an inch of snow, but the wind is strong enough to make my Christmas lights sway. I only have to go out to get some stuff out of my Jeep and to check the mail. Knitting later, and finishing a jigsaw puzzle. Not so bad.

The child stayed up all night, waking me up multiple times because I heard the tv or him talking or because the dogs (we are dog sitting) heard him and got restless. like, he was still up at 7:30.

I finally got out of bed at 11:30 and now he is sleeping in the recliner, refusing to go to his bed.

I have done a round of cleaning (laundry, dishwasher loaded and running, borax sprinkled over carpets and my bed, dishes in sink washed, counters half assed cleaned, living room floor (aka Christmas packaging & ebay central) halfway cleaned.

Now cue the Holiday music.

It is a nice quiet day here is Chez Suzi. CJ spent the night at a buddy's place and we'll be home by dinner. C is our shipping, I think. Kelly and I are just hanging out sharing holiday baking shows and doing a bit of a home spa with some gave, hand, and feet masks we got from Sephora. No real plans other than chilling out.

Oh, I got to open one present from my extra daughter, Vicki. She sent me a great book on whiskey and whiskey cocktails.

Now one of my cats is digging in the freshly-cleaned litter as if he expects to strike gold.

Thrive to spite them

My cat does that Matt.

I am sick. I don't like it. Especially since it is starting out like the really bad stuff that happened a couple of years ago.

But Christmas Eve is ok. Doing laundry and watching Doctor Who. Pizza for dinner tonight.

Tomorrow is pork loin stuffed with sage, butternut squash, goats cheese, and something else. With Brussels spouts and bacon, rolls, smashed potatoes. With hot chocolate bread pudding for dessert.

Eggs and fruit for breakfast.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I should be wrapping presents. But I am not.
