Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Tried to buy my staff gift cards on the way in this morning, but they don't do that until 9. THWARTED! I can do it at lunchtime, I guess. I have four meetings today, two of which should be short, but one of which is at 4pm. I am really over the 4pm slot with my boss.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Our water service hasn't kept up with demand in my office suite, and the bottle filler on my floor needs its filter changed. So I went upstairs in search of water. One of the librarians let me Behind the Desk to the special librarian water station. I feel like I gain a percentage point of knowledge and organization with every sip.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Wow, sarameg! None of my other friends has a rock that big.

Mm, library water.

I am so not into actually doing work today. I plan on mostly making lists of things to do next week until I go home early.

I can't believe it took until today for someone to say this. Well done, -t. Well done indeed.

I'm basically done with work until Tuesday, but I had to get up early to go to therapy. That was poor planning on my part. And I would go back to bed now, except I'm meeting a friend from out of town for lunch. But maybe a nap AFTER lunch!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Scrappy, ugh. Fuck that. Fuck that gently with a chainsaw.

I discovered that my BFF has never seen "Die Hard" and we had pretty much the same convo: "It gave the world the phrase Yippy-ki-yay, motherfucker! It's Christmasy as fuck!"

Getting everything ready to go to Iowa. Our pet plans fell through yesterday, but we were able to get in with the pet care company we used this summer at the last minute, which is a huge relief.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Buffistas with small kids. Mac just cleaned out all his books. Wants to get rid of them all. I have not gone through them all, but I have a grocery bag full of picture books, a grocery bag full of graphic novel style kid books, several books on large cats, a few books on artist, a few historical figures. Let me know if anyone has interest.
