'Day' is a vestigial mode of time measurement based on solar cycles. It's not applicable. I didn't get you anything.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I went to a used bookshop once and the three books I bought had been sold to the shop by the clerk. He asked me out for coffee on the spot. (I'd have said yes but the guy I was currently seeing was with me in the shop at the time.)

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

There's a local used book place that I donate to - they use the profits to fund literacy programs. Periodically, I'll look at the available books when I drop off a bagful ... and I keep finding myself drawn to books that I've donated (or other copies of the same ones). Consistancy?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Maybe that's a sign of the depression receding.

I *love* little signs that your brain is going, "Hey, the fog is lifting! I have an idea!"

That is an exceptionally tolerant cat. Who will probably poop in its owner's shoe.

I am obsessed with this 'cat dancing' video:

"There's tuna and cream in this for me afterwards. Don't judge."

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

So I went to bed at 10 pm and slept until 11:30 am. (With a couple breaks to let the dog out and text my coworker about being sick.) Suspect this is a sinus infection: I'm just congested, not particularly sniffly.

Don't think I'm going to go into the office now. I should do stuff around the house, but perhaps I will lounge and finish reading The Obelisk Gate first. Maybe go to Walgreens for meds.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I turned out to be Khadijah.

Aw, that seems very sweet to me.

We have a tradition in my family that when you buy someone a book as a present you are expected to read it before you give it to them. Sometimes I don't and my mom (they are usually for her for some reason) is so surprised when I say I'll need to borrow them when she's done.

That's a great dream, Zen! You probably remember it because it's just that good.

Our Xmas gift from the Sr Director this year is a 6-piece baking set. Nice.

That is a very tolerant cat ... my mother once had a cat that had to be bathed for a while (flea infestation ... ick), but she would just extend her legs, make it difficult to get her in the basin, and then look pitiful and make sad sounds when she was wet.
