Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Really?? I think I've only ever had one facial, maybe it was a terrible one? I didn't understand what made it awesome?Yeah, they definitely can vary in quality. But, done right, can be super relaxing. If you like getting your face massaged, that is.
The facial talk influenced me sufficiently to go and have one despite my shortage of time. I looked to see who was close by and there was a Groupon so I went. 1 hour of mostly bliss and a bit of the necessary evil extraction stuff. She must have used at least a dozen different products with different aromas, and massaged hands and arms and neck and shoulders and head, and it was just heavenly. This has to be put back on the schedule again.
And now to finish packing. I have to take off for the airport at around 7 or something so I don't want to do anything in the morning but shower and drink coffee.
I just watched Bruno Mars on Carpool Karaoke, and I'm trying to figure out how he can put together songs that are so unoriginal, it always seems like I already know them, and yet are still awesome simultaneously.
I just finished baking 5dozen more oatmeal cookies with chips, new recipe. I like this recipe best so far.
I have a problem.
Facial was super relaxing. Lots of facial massage, neck, shoulders, upper arms, (and feet! I only had the 30 minute one.) And steam, this time of year? Not just my face, but my sinuses were sooo happy. It was all calm and soothing and with a longer one? Totally could have fallen asleep.
Ah, nice. I absolutely could have fallen asleep, but I didn't want to miss a moment.
This afternoon it was 78° and I was breaking a sweat in a short sleeved shirt. Now it's 36°.
Highs almost to 60 tomorrow. Monday? High just above freezing.
I love facials and have one on the calendar for Dec 22nd, which is my first day off for Winter Break. Also getting my hair cut/colored, which hasn't been done since August.
In discussing camp last night with our daughter, she convinced us to spend a week with her as a staycation. Definitely a whose in charge here moment. I was so thrilled she's spending three weeks at the camp with a bus from the metro station that picks up at 8 and drops off at 5 (so no before/after care) and gives her a hot lunch (with choices) that I suppose she saw an opportunity.
That is great to have the summer camp settled. Cool to now be where I get to go off on trips and the kids have to take care of stuff while I am gone. And they drive me to the airport and pick me up.
I am up and finishing packing! I think DH left his Surface power supply at my sister's house or something, so decision to make on which other computer to bring. Vacation still means 6 electronic devices. 2 computers, 2 cellphones, iPad, and Nook. Maybe next time I will do one of those no power no internet vacations.
