"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

It's 10 F here. Mom is here, and normally I would go and do errands. I'm not going anywhere.

Our wings are not tired.

How is your mother's ankle, Jesse?

Well, that went pretty well even though I forgot 2 things and will need to go back for them. But even feeling ' pretty good,' can't miss the fact that four days ago, I had 4 holes cut in me,stuff puffed full of gas and a piece distorted to the size of a small sweet potato removed. Much more motion than just walking around the house. Kinda bleahrgy.

I'm gonna make oatmeal cookies later. And getting the two damn things I forgot. But now I'm gonna let my insides settle.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

My friend who had hers removed yesterday is still in the hospital because she's still getting morphine for pain management. And she still thinks she can make it to the party tomorrow night. I think her optimism might be colored by the morphine.

22 here. But little wind. Yesterday was 28, but the wind was brutal.

Hence cookies.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Had a PT session at 10, decided to take the rest of the day off. Mr. S's temp was back to normal last night, so he's at daycare.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Cookies may be the answer to everything.

Steph, was hers a lapro? Or did they have to open?

Definitely a case of ymmv. Even at the worst, I think the oxy was probably overkill for me, but it made me sleep hard, which was probably wise.

Fun fact: my brother has an actually tested & IDed genetic anomaly/feature that means his opiod receptors don't. So opioids have no pain or pleasure effect on him. They ultimately still depress respiratory in massive amounts. We think my mom probably is the same because the times she's taken them (after a c-section, blearg) she described it as a horrid, painful experience....probably because it wasn't doing anything for her pain!

Connie, I don't know about shifting. Everything is just way sensitive to movement. Feels too jiggly.
