Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Everything was going so well -- I went to Target and bought All The Things, caught a bus home at the right time... and then thought I'd go to the super intense, supposedly cheaper, supermarket. They didn't have what I was really looking for, I saved about 50 cents on the other stuff I bought, and now I'm frazzled. Bah!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We are hosting a party for Gary's birthday this afternoon.(His birthday was yesterday) Don't know how many people will show up.

Our wings are not tired.

Happy birthday to Gary! Hosting parties is another thing with added dimensions with a wee one running about.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I just went through the to do list I pasted yesterday and it is mostly done.

My school paper is 98% donemail. Just needs to be proof read and maybe expand on the conclusion a bit...but that will have to wait until tonight.

Party prep is done, just need to lay out food and drinks in a couple of hours. For now, working on relaxing and my turn to take a shower.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Oh, man, my poor brother. He slipped & fell in the snow last week and tore his quadriceps tendons. And now he has to have surgery and will be immobilized for at least six weeks, with 6 months of PT. He says it's almost impossible to even put his pants on. So awful.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Your poor brother, Consuela. I hope surgery and recovery go well for him.

Today's been all about the baking for me. Gingerbread, linzer cookies, pecan puffs, and buckeyes. My apartment smells amazing.

Ahahaha, Market Basket?

Kee-rect.

Oh no, your poor brother, Consuela! That sounds awful. Even for a person as lazy as I am!

Went with my mother to get trees (although they were sold out of the table top size I wanted), got the tree upstairs, and then attempted to get it into the stand. The stand that promises to be super easy for one person to use! With a picture of a woman on the box! My mother kept saying, "...maybe we should call [male neighbor]?" I was like, "We are strong women who don't need no man!!!" We did eventually figure out what was wrong, so that's exciting. Will decorate later this week.
