I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I think I have a present for my mother!

Now...my father. And also Yuletide.

Suzi, that's a lot!

Me for tomorrow: erm. Walk the dog, change the sheets. Do finances for Dad. Birthday dinner with family, yay!

Our wings are not tired.

I may do Target tomorrow. Ugh. Since I am outta here on the 18th I really have to get everything finished this week.

I've been doing pretty good with my current exercise plan. Ideally 4 miles a day, although some days my knee has said no. Today so far only 1-1/2, but more hours left. I have 16 pennies in one tiny bowl that move to another when I complete each 1/4 mile. Two weeks so far and most days I moved 16 before the day was done. It is nice and cool out (73 at the moment), so that makes it easier to establish the habit. I am old, and fat, and out of shape, yo. But 2 out of 3 of these I can do something about.

So proud of you for finding an everyday way to get your body moving, Laura.

Our wings are not tired.

Thank you, David. Bobby and/or the GF and/or DH often join me, and Zoe is always willing. So it is a family affair.

I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night.

sarameg - I just had my gallbladder removed six weeks ago so I remember the whole operation/recovery process pretty clearly - if you have any questions, profile addy is good.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I cannot even. I'm not surprised by McConnell, because he's always been a heinous shitgibbon, but Obama should have forced the issue and taken the hit. Instead he let Comey tank Clinton's chances.

Yeah, I mean, I can actually see why he thought that this was something that would perhaps skew things in the wrong direction (and unify the Rs to come behind Trump in ways they hadn't yet) and I think he wasn't wrong about that EXCEPT for Comey and company.

It's all a clusterfuck.
