"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

It was a "Wait, is that an earthquake?" and not a "JESUS CHRIST EARTHQUAKE."

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's good, at least!

This Christmas-on-the-weekend thing is really bumming me out. Like, when am I going to do anything to prepare? I just got a bee in my bonnet about making cretons (french-canadian pork spread) and maybe giving it to family members, but no. The weekend prior is my mother's big party, so that will take up that whole weekend. Oy vey. (Which I thought was a French expression as a child because I only heard it from my Memere!) I guess I can make it after Christmas and just keep it for me!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So I just realized that's something I can do after work if I want to. Problem solved!

Hah, yeah, I think I'm lying to myself about how much time is left until Christmas and what needs to be done before then. This weekend I'm hitting a couple craft markets and going to an ugly sweater party (sans sweater) and a holiday revue. So maybe that'll up the ante!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'm doing pretty well on gifts except for my mother. Oy, my mother.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm trying to keep my attitude right because this Saturday what I'm doing instead of holiday prep is going to an 11 year old's funeral, so, you know. Priorities.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Today's doctor search: First place I tried, leave a message and we'll call back in 2 days. Uh, no.

Second place: We need a referral. Why do you need a referral? Good question, I don't know. Well, I don't have a GP yet because I haven't needed one. Yeah, we're going to need a referral.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I...honestly thought he was already dead.

I went to John Glenn Elementary school 76-81. It wasn't Glenn Elementary; we used the whole damn name.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Natter's been awfully quiet today.
