It's called a blaster, Will, a word that tends to discourage experimentation. Now, if it were called the Orgasmater, I'd be the first to try your basic button press approach.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That is all so good to read, Connie. I hope your next chapter is every bit as wonderful as I am envisioning. Balcony! With stars! Yes.

Aw, Consuela. Good for you, correctly reasoning that the dog hair won't hurt you. That's great that you had a pleasant time playing chess with Dad!

I am working on my TV backlog. Kinda feels like a job, but one that I enjoy. Tomorrow will be all about housecleaning, which I enjoy less.

brillig

And I finally have a weekend where I don't have to pack, where I don't have a deadline hounding me. I can leisurely unpack and organize and wander off when I want to get lunch.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

DH and I had a long talk about our trip to Portland. Although we have some good friends there, the houses we can afford are mostly newer ranch houses, which we both found depressing. We decided we really feel better in places built before 1950, no matter how ramshackle. To buy a house we would enjoy living out the rest of our days in would cost so much that it pretty much negates moving--although we saw some gorgeous places in town, all craftsman-y and adorable and we certainly wished we had more money!

This swings the needle back towards the Detroit area. DH can do his job and we can find a house we will ADORE for 150 to 250k. Now we are working on planning a trip up there. I don't know anyone there, but I know Aimee lives nearby and I have family in Chicago for weekend trips.

not your mom's socks.

{{Gud}}

Connie, that sounds like a really productive day and a great view.

I am filled with tires. gave an hour long solo presentation yesterday and didn't die though, so I'm calling it a win.

One more day at the event, then home, and we're maybe selling our house. Offer~ma appreciated.

Coding and Sleeping

Lots of offer~ma.

Today I need to reclaim the house. Every week there comes a point where I can no longer keep up and this week that was Wednesday. I need to get things clean-ish again and then forge ahead a little.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

For good things: human dresses up as dog's favorite toy. Amazeballs. [link]

That made me so happy my eyes leaked.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Pet hair is just extra protein.

Connie, it's good to follow your saga of settling in to your new environment all your own.

Gud and Volans, I'm sorry to hear of your losses. Gud, I hope your daughter is doing well.

House and moving ~ma for Scrappy and hippocampus!

I made a new friend last night. Very interesting lady, lives right down the street from me. Had a little too much wine, which is surprisingly less wine than it used to be.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Finally caught up in Natter. I was pet-sitting with Anne last weekend and she got annoyed with me for being on the internet all the time.

I'm exhausted and stressed by the FBI email announcement. Internet is down so I gotta do some quick cleaning before the Comcast guy shows up.

Ten more days. Ten more days....
