Mal: Cut it out. Job's not done until we're back on Serenity. Zoe: Sorry, sir. Didn't mean to enjoy the moment.

Time for the evening's narcotics. A little behind schedule, but I had to whine to my brother.

Our wings are not tired.

I hope the narcotics are doing their thing today.

I'm here, but work is demanding too much of my attention.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Good luck, Hec!

Starting the interview~ma now, Sumi.

So, I got myself a couple of Hue bulbs to see if they'd make waking up and getting home in the dark easier. Waking up, yes: getting out of bed, still a challenge.

Good news: My dad is home from the hospital.

Bad news: I had a voicemail last night from the company that does repairs for my oil company. The leak indicator has popped on my tank and they need to come and drain the water out. (I have no idea what that means, neither does the person I spoke to at the oil company.) I am going to assume it isn't urgent since they haven't rushed to my house, nor have they returned any of the three phone messages I left them.

I have a cold and this morning in the shower I blew my nose and was instantly hit with such dizziness I would have fallen over if it weren't for the grab bar in my shower. Thanks elderly former owners of my house.

There was lots of other tedium (locked out at work, line-jumping Starbucks customers) today, but hey, I'm going to get some hot soup for lunch.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Sue, I'm assuming you mean your fuel oil tank. If so, I would continue to call the company until you get an answer. I don't know what the Canadian regs are, but if my fuel oil tank develops a leak, the DEP gets involved and there are fines and clean up costs. My fuel oil provider said that it averages to about $10,000 per spill, depending upon how much oil leaks.

If that's not it, then ignore what I just said above.

Today's cubicle debate: GIF, is it pronounced Jif or Gif (Gift without the t)? With revisits to the great "Which is wetter, damp or moist?" debate.

Edit: "I'm going to Google this." "No, don't Google it!" (a few seconds later) "OK, Google says they're pretty much identical." "Yeah, and some people just like to see the world burn."

Gif, obviously.
