For Good Things:
Natter 75: More Than a Million Natters Served
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I need to do shots of whiskey.
Mom is saying if I can't make Xmas in B'ham, the rents will come up here. That's the last thing I want. One, I'll be Fine if I can't go until later, I'll just go later. Two, it'll put a damper on all 3 parts of the family's holidays and I think it is more important to spend the time with Josh's family as it is more important to the kiddos. Three, I love them, but hosting my parents is exhausting. It's the last thing I'd need. At least if I got to PJ &Josh's, even if I'm not 100%, I'm not hosting.
Will do. I saw the pan you wanted for $7, too, if I'm sending the tote anyway.
Thank you so much! Let me know how much I'll owe you in total and I can paypal or whatever.
Thanks, Dana!
Oh, god, no. If you aren't well enough to travel you aren't well enough to have guests.
What -t said.
They see it as helping me. So I won't be lonely and sad over Xmas. But I wouldn't be! I have surrogates who I could spend it with if I wanted! But really, it's about them feeling helpless and scared and unable to fix this for me.
Whereas I'm just like get'er done, not much alternative. I'm not even worried, just resigned.
But really, it's about them feeling helpless and scared and unable to fix this for me.
You know they worry and just want the best for you but sometimes bodies do stupid things at inconvenient times and we have to work on their time scales, not our own. While you would love to be with your family, traveling is not in the cards and hosting is stressful. Aren't they the luckiest parents that you have wonderful friends and surrogates so nearby who will take such good care of you?
I KNOW. It's them. Don't hear that. Yet. Hopefully will be moot.
Time for the evening's narcotics. A little behind schedule, but I had to whine to my brother.
I hope the narcotics are doing their thing today.
I'm here, but work is demanding too much of my attention.
