"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Wow, Sheryl. He's talented.

The kid was on the other side of the school yard playing with some rocks that ltc wanted. So she fled across the playground and pushed him off the platform he was on and onto the ground. I'm all for being team girl, but this was definitely ltc's fault.

What is even happening?

The female of our species has been predisposed to gather since hunter-gatherer times. It's a natural reflex. Girls will be girls.

Meanwhile, this aberrant boy, ignoring nature's dictate, gathered rocks, taunted her with a come-hither look, then dangled himself on the edge of a platform, daring any red-blooded American girl to push him, should he not fall first. A nice boy would have known better.

ltc is being railroaded.

[Just kidding. I'm sorry for the aggravation. It's not the behavior you want. This too will pass. I hope it's quickly for your sake, and again, I'm glad the little boy is okay. My kids were always the ones who got hit etc at pre-school (my boys and my girls). It's nice to see parents who take it seriously, not that I would expect less from you.]

Woe to the fucking wicked.

So, I have 2 stories from the weekend. One I'll share over on the FB (it is more locked-down right?), but the other can go here.

A couple of years ago, I worked on a production of Spamalot, for which I made 3 versions of the killer rabbit. A friend of mine finally managed to have me, her car, and her memory in the same place, and she gave me a commemorative gift of a Disney bunny...with fangs. So, um, would Clovis like a Polynesian Outpost Division?

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

So, um, would Clovis like a Polynesian Outpost Division?

YES. YES, CLOVIS WOULD. Welcome to the Evil Bunny Alliance.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Excellent!

It was definitely one of those "some have the Evil Bunny Alliance thrust upon them" moments.

I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.

Yes, today is the Board's birthday. We started posting here on my father's 68th birthday, Sept 17, 2002. Makes it unlikely that I'll forget the date.

Egads, the Phoenix Board is old enough to drive. In the States, at least.

Nilly, it's good to see your post! I've thought of you often when wishing my colleagues Shana Tovah, which confuses them because they know I'm not Jewish. And then I have to explain what it is to have the Nilly-nature, and much delight and confusion results.

I hope you and your loved ones are happy and well.

That this sentence exists and makes sense delights me to no account

Nilly! Lovely to see you here! You have never ever offended me.

ION, my brother's family got a new puppy (named "twende", which means "let's go!" in Swahili), and they have NOT SHARED PHOTOS. I'm very upset with them.

A brief poll: is it or is it not a disinheriting offense to get a new puppy and not send your family photos of same puppy? I'm just saying.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I mean, I shared photos of a puppy I met for ten minutes this morning. It was my obligation to share them to the world!

So, familial responsibility is at least 20x greater.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm at the hospital for a minor procedure that I thought would be done by now, and the doctor isn't even here yet. I got here an hour ago. Why did they tell me to arrive early?
