Pretty cool except for the part where I was really terrified and now my knees are all dizzy.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Jesse, getting Mac's Certificate of Citizenship which involved going through a citizenship swearing in even though he is already a citizen. But it's over and we have the paper and yay!

Yay! Good to have the paperwork.

Scrappy, he ate by himself after we were all day and went out later that day to hang with friends. He finally came in and said hello to his grandparents the third day we were there after I threatened him. He even gave his grandma a hug before leaving on Friday evening.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

which involved going through a citizenship swearing in even though he is already a citizen.

Really? Ridic. Glad it's done! Also, yay grandma hug.

Oof, sarameg, hope the cold goes away tout' suite and waiting for the surgery isn't too painful.

I wish government would get it's shit together and just issue these to international adoptees when they do whatever is needed for citizenship. It's hundreds of dollars to get.

That's crazy. I assume you saw the story about the Korean adoptee?

When we went to get K's passport renewed, the DH and I had to prove who we were. We brought our passports, and the person on the other side of the desk asked if we had a driver's license because that was better for them. Yup, the federal gov't office begged off using the exact form of ID they are in charge of issuing. Ha!

The best is that none of our original documents for this app got sent back. We have to send in a form to get them. That includes his passport. His original issued readoption (the thing that gives him citizenship), his official US issued birth certificate, MY birth certificate, and probably more. Passport people at least send that shit back.

What? That's bizarre.

Holy crap!! That's insane! What a PITA.

Ok that may have been bad info. The form says that any requested docs will be sent back without the form. I am calling now.
