Natter 75: More Than a Million Natters Served
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Nope. But that cracks me up and I'm leaving it. Grilled sandwich.
Grilled salad sounded intriguing
We apparently have a small fire behind the building. Have not been told to leave the building yet, I guess we don't get to ogle the firemen.
Correction, it's the other side of the fence from us. Hwy 12 is closed though, so this is exciting.
A grilled Caesar is something I've seen at restaurants lately, where they take part of a head of romaine and put it on the grill quickly.
Per my director, the fire is "not small"
Oh, yeah, I think I've seen that on menus, Dana.
I wish I'd been here on 9/11. I spent the day crying in front of the TV, and on the phone with my New Yorkers and my mom. But I didn't find you until after Sara was born, so spring 2004, I think.
And Jessica, I was really grateful it wasn't 9/11 weather today, too.
I didn't have lunch because I took Sara to urgent care and then went to get groceries, and now I want to eat All the Things.
I had Indian for lunch. The papadum was particularly delicious.
I've been reading the Natter thread from 9/11 on and off today, which has been a roller coaster ride of emotions. It seems so quaint and ridiculous now that news sites were overwhelmed with traffic.
I packed up the postcards I wrote for the ACLU and they're now in the mail.
Fire is out. One lane of hwy re-opened. Yay.
I'm going to have a "salad" of fresh mozzarella, proscuttio, and fresh figs (with fancy olive oil and salt) for lunch. (A perk of being in the Hannibal fandom is people share recipes.) (The proscuttio is not people in my preparation.)
