I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am almost through everything on my desk that needs to be done today. I may read Pitch fanfic for the rest of the day.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

It's a dog miracle!

Maria, I hope you get your own, slightly calmer, dog miracle. And puppies are amazing but also can be frustrating as hell, it's nothing to beat yourself up over. They just need a STOP button, is that so much to ask?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

For good things: human dresses up as dog's favorite toy. Amazeballs.

That's so great!

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I found phones! Also a knife. No utensils yet -- I had to eat breakfast this morning with my hands.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Someone burnt toast, so clearly I am no longer the only one here.

Are you sure? I am paranoid about hallucinating burning smells.

Many happy returns of the day, aurelia! Good luck with the Hamilton lottery and let me know if you want some cookware.

I would totally tell my boss that I need to leave at noon, but I would probably follow it with a "I hope that's ok" or something. Because I would be leaving regardless but I would also recognize that they could fire me or whatever. That's kind of our office culture, though.

I would argue, Tep. Their response sounds like they don't understand your actual complaint. The dress I ordered for Halloween also hasn't arrived. I didn't get special shipping because the regular shipping said it should arrive in 8-10 business days and I ordered on 10/16, so 10 business days would be today. And I suppose it could arrive today, but the order status on the web site is only Confirmed, not Shipped, so I doubt it. I'm just spoiled by most things getting to me way sooner than I expect, I think. You paid for expedited shipping, though, they should have honored that!

Oh, man, the happiness of that dog!

My department is doing a roller coaster group costume, which should be good. I'm not part of it because I am doing my witch thing (unless someone else drops out and they have an odd number, but they'd better tell me today if they need me), but I am helping build the cars. It's a bit more involved than they originally thought. But it's a Team Building Exercise, so.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Thank you, brenda. Happy belated birthday! My brain has been mush, and I forgot to say it day of.

Srsly, STOP button would be awesome.

I had to eat breakfast this morning with my hands.

I also ate breakfast with my hands. In solidarity. Yeah.

Actually, I had cereal and I almost always eat it dry like it's party mix rather than with milk and a spoon. I don't know why, I just somehow got into the habit.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I love the roller coaster group costume idea. Since you aren't part of the train, you can take pictures!!!

Today is my dad's 78th birthday. I called him earlier and he was very happy to hear from me. I mean, dude, I always call if I don't see you on your birthday. You are the one who has forgotten birthdays, but I digress. It was great to talk with him. Our relationship is so much better than it used to be. He and his wife (her birthday was two days ago) are going to a dance/open museum night at the De Young tonight.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

So, how bad is it that the FBI has reopened the email server case against HRC? I can't take it.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Glam, Twitter told me not to worry.

The relevant paragraph in this brief letter is the middle one, where Comey writes that the FBI "has learned of the existence" of emails that it previously did not review. In response to this new information, the FBI will now "allow investigators to review these emails to determine whether they contain classified information."

The FBI, in other words, is not reexamining its previous findings. It is not questioning its previous legal conclusion that "no reasonable prosecutor" could determine that charges are warranted. Based on the letter, it appears that the FBI will simply provide the same scrutiny to these newly uncovered emails as it previously applied to the emails it already reviewed when it determined that criminal charges are not warranted.
