I happen to be very biteable, pal. I'm moist and delicious.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We have a septic tank and it has decided the Saturday of a long weekend was the PERFECT time to overflow. We can't get anyone in to pump out the tank until Tuesday morning, so it's no laundry and showering at the gym until then. I am about to go scrub the floor in the downstairs bathroom, where the carnage happened. It is just as disgusting as you think it might be, but I have a mop and plenty of Mr. Clean, so I should be okay.

Our wings are not tired.

Not cool, septic of Scrappy. That gym sounds like a better idea than ever.

brillig

I know catastrophes must happen at other times of the year, but holidays seem cursed at times.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh nooooo, Scrappy! Yuck.

Huh. Don't know what recipe you used, Jesse (mine is from Joy of Cooking), but IME clafoutis are basically big eggy pancakes: flour, sugar, milk, eggs. Maybe you needed to grease the pan?

I clearly needed to grease the pan.

Went to the beach, came home with a migraine! Booo. At least it only started coming on when we were ready to go anyway. Went back to bed with a pillow over my head for two hours, and am doing OK now.

Also I just took pills and got in bed, so now there is sand in my bed and I guess I should change the sheets.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I went over to my parents' house to clean since I am hosting a phone bank there on Monday.

Came home and decided to keep on cleaning since I am still working through last week's list

- set up bill pay for Sept
- update budget

- list some things on ebay - taking pictures now
- hang up clothes in room - partially done
- make list of home repairs that need to get done
- laundry - 1 load drying, 2nd load in
- sweep & mop
- wipe down cabinet doors - 1/3 done
- mail off very late cards - got 2 of three ready, need address for the 3rd.
- pack up 2 boxes I have to mail ready to mail - 1 packed
- clean kitchen counters - half done
- vacuum rug

I am taking a break now to do the bill and budget stuff.

At mom's I did the kitchen and breakfast area floors, the rug and wood floors in big room, dishes, counters, kitchen table, glass door in and out, 2 bathrooms, and a lot of picking up clutter.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I went to bed last night with a migraine that was just mild enough that I made it through the work day, and woke up with it on the other side of my head and much worse. I have now slept off & on until 6pm. It's not gone, but I at least feel like I can keep my eyes open for a while.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

That is sucks, Aurelia. At least you don't have to hang light with it :) also thanks for the pvc sock putter onner tip. I think I might make one because it really seems superior to having someone crouched in the floor holding a sock for the person to put on their foot!

That's something, at least.

Yesterday at work was a focus, so I had people pointing lights at me for 4 hours or so. My coping mechanism is to turn my back to the light and look at my shadow instead of looking into the light to find the hot spot.

Which theatre magazine has the Tech Notes series? I should draw that up and send it in.

I think I'm gonna avoid screens the rest of the evening and stick to a book for a while.
