I have a financial assessment at work tomorrow. I spent 5 hours wrestling with a $9.02 discrepancy. I wish alcohol weren't so carby.
The financial assessor fixed it in less than five minutes (spoiler alert: it only existed because I was doing wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much arithmetic), taught me how to bipass all the rigamarole I wrangled yesterday, left me to work on catching up, and about an hour later I got caught up on another $9 discrepancy. The financial assessment was the easy part of the day.

Too much screen time today. I think I have to tear myself away.
Atropa, I hadn't thought about that but yeah, you're right. Hey, maybe I could get a tattoo without passing out.
I tried to make a clafoutis for breakfast, and it totally didn't work. I don't know what the hell was wrong with the recipe, but it took way longer to cook, and 100% stuck to the pan. It still tastes good, but oy. But you know on GBBO, in the technical round, when things are a mess, and the one good thing they can say is the flavor is OK? That's because they used all the ingredients, so what else would it taste like! This is like that.
Google images shows me that clafoutis often isn't pretty.
DH slept in Savannah GA last night. I tried to convince him to sleep in, go for a swim, have breakfast and not get on the road too early. He was business emailing at 6 something this morning so not sure he listened. I even booked him in a nice hotel! (he is Mr. DIY so when he called last night around 10 and asked me to find him a room I figured I would make it a nice one)

It was so pretty! Until I tried to serve it.
That would be the tricky part! The yum is the thing.
Huh. Don't know what recipe you used, Jesse (mine is from Joy of Cooking), but IME clafoutis are basically big eggy pancakes: flour, sugar, milk, eggs. Maybe you needed to grease the pan?
Timelies all!
Another Saturday, another too-early wakeup courtesy of Mr. S and Nova.
