"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Feel better, sarameg.

Headed home from Thanksgiving weekend. It was a lovely weekend. TCG and I managed to fit in a movie, a dinner out at a local Indian restaurant, and two coffee dates all without ltc.

brillig

I have wrapped a string of Christmas lights around my balcony rail. I'm going to have to find a place to put my little tree.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

My flight home transferred through Oakland today, and I realized I probably haven't been to the Bay Area since the early 80s

You should do something about that at some point. Congrats on the bonus! Boo on the cold.

All the colds. My sinuses are limping along okay, but I am reminded that Mucinex has historically been more successful for me, maybe I should pick some up.

BTW, my niece is turning 18 in a couple weeks, and she asked for donations to Standing Rock in lieu of gifts. So if anyone feels the need to rage donate, feel free to donate in her honor. I haven't found a way to do that officially (have it be in her name or something) but the thought would be good.

I also got a new phone yesterday. My old 5s decided to stop recognizing some inputs from the touchscreen, notably numbers that are in my passcode, right at the beginning of yesterday's race. Which was frustrating as all get out. So my parents kindly stopped at the Apple store on the way home and bought me an SE as an early birthday present (or, as I told the salesperson who was helping us, all the presents for whatever for a while). So my 39th place in my age group race is undocumented by my fitness apps, but shiny new phone!

I think the semi-colon short for your friend is a nice gesture, aurelia. I don't have favorite to recommend, though.

Once again, cannot find my motivation. Maybe I'll look for it after this football game.

Still too wobbly to swim. Hell, I'm glad I laid in a Gatorade stash a while back, because I'm living off it and going to the grocery store might do me in.

Yay shiny phone!

How you know it's your 25th reunion: Tons of new posts on the Facebook page before 9am the next morning.

Hah! Awesome and sadly so true. Feeling so old lately. Cheered for the half marathon for about 90 minutes, then decided it was cold and I wasn't willing to stay for another 45 before the marathoners started rolling in. I did very much enjoy the ladies running in "he's not my president" t-shirts

May go to a craft fair soon, but am worried it'll be crazy crowded. And have been invited to hang out with a friend later and drink homemade Baileys. But she broke up with another friend of mine and then started dating that friend's ex girlfriend. So that's messy and I feel a bit guilty hanging out with the two of them together, like I'm betraying my other friend (who is pretty broke up about it). Ugh.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

aurelia - I just got a semi-colon appreciation society pin via wordnik and would be happy to send it to you.

hope everyone feels better. I was gonna go to church, but I think my eyes still look crazy and I have petroleum jelly all over them, so I slept in and am lounging all day.

I would like another week off.

I am also motivating to try and sell a few things while I continue to uncontrollably ascribe to retail therapy.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Belinda's head as a candleholder, that'd freak me out though.

Equal chances of the fringe catching fire or Belinda blowing the candle out herself?

Well, I put in a call to the med helpline, should be getting a call back soon. Tender in the vicinity of my gallbladder and the vice grip pain around the lower ribs is back. Don't know if it is er worthy, but this will help me decide whether to head down the street to the er or not.

Probably gallstones, can follow up with regular dr/clinic unless it gets worse or I get a fever. Gnyeh.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

That would be amazing! Thanks!

sarameg, that sounds like it needs attention of some sort. (x-post)
