Hope things went well, aurelia!
Ugh, sara.
I just turned on HBO to a documentary about Elvis, and it's kind of shocking to realize that was younger than I am now when he died. But really looking at him in the late clips, he looks like hell, but he does look young to me now.
What? [checks Wikipedia] Huh. He was young, wasn't he? That is not how it seemed when I was 8.
go vote on the board vote.
The real shocking fact I learned is that Elvis never toured outside of the US, because Col. Tom Parker wasn't a US citizen and couldn't get a passport. (He was Dutch!)
Wow, I need to stop referring to "old, puffy Elvis" and change that to "puffy Elvis."
Also, when I went to Google "How old was Elvis when he died," once I typed out "How old was El", the autofill suggestions were, in order, "How old was Elvis when he died," "How old was Eliza Hamilton when she died," and "How old was Elton John when he died." Which made me need to check and see if Elton John was still alive. (SPOILER: he is.)
Which reminds me of how sad I am about Aretha Franklin, you guys.
I'm pretty much in denial about Aretha. She's eternal.
Huh. I had no idea our registration link was broken! Not that I've tried to introduce newbies obviously.
I actually made it home only about 2 hours late, so it was mostly the drama that was tiring.
Timelies all!
Congrats, tcg!
We're back. At home for a day, then we fly out to WorldCon. I'm going to need a vacation from my vacation(s).
