And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

clearly this was a conspiracy among social media platforms to all censor him at the same time.

OR, and just hear me out here because I know this sounds bonkers, BUT...maybe they all like making money and were responding to the same bad press? (Also, maybe none of them are the federal government and so the 1st amendment doesn't apply?)

(I know I'm preaching to the choir, but since FB doesn't have an incredulous eyeroll reaction yet, I'm doing it here instead.)

Our wings are not tired.

My only objection is that so far as I know Twitter didn't join in with the others.

She doesn't understand how corporate decisions are made. This was clearly a case of nervously waiting until someone made the first move.

On my MAGA twitter account there was a tweet from some woman calling out 'libtards' because they kept saying that Facebook was a private company when she looked it up and saw it was public. The replies were a mix of people joyfully reveling in the stupidity of liberals and people gently trying to clarify the difference between public and publicly traded.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

She posted something stupid about the Papa John's guy too. I don't want to write off everyone who doesn't agree 100% with me, but...it would help if people weren't stupid.

Vaping device found in mac's backpack. Still sealed. Looking forward to the "how dare I go through his stuff" fight.

Also pretty sure this was purchased st Wal-mart and it clearly says on it not for sale to under 18 which Mac still is.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aw. I went from 16 to like 20 pretending to my parents that I smelled like smoke because I was hanging out in the smoky Dunkin Donuts. (NB: I never went to Dunkin Donuts.)

Because books.

Having a hard morning. Watching my dad get frailer and frailer is just agonizing. When I was a kid, and my mom was chronically ill ('70s back surgery, atypical lupus, a whole host of other issues) and in and out of the hospital sometimes for weeks at a time, he was the strong one, the healthy one, and he's always had that "let me fix everything for everyone" mentality. He actually called in sick to work for a friend of mine once.

And now he's very wobbly, and not very clear-headed, and got sent home from work today because of it (although his boss is just concerned, not being a dick). Part of it is low-T, and part of it is the meds he's been on since the gall bladder surgery, and part of it is the same shakes both his parents had as they got older, but it's breaking my heart. And my mom's, and his.

I think of them both as young -- they're 75, but look younger, and have always had a fairly youthful attitude -- but I take death calls at work every day for people in their 60s and early 70s.

Bah. Life is hard. The end.

Oh yeah, I was smoking at his age, but hiding it and my parents were too naive to look through my stuff.
