Dawn: I think a date should be in a real fancy restaurant, then champagne at a night club with a floor show, then ballroom dancing. Joyce: Unfortunately, we're not dating in a movie from the thirties.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

It's very quiet here today.

Because books.

I made the mistake of looking at Twitter when I woke up, and my mood plummeted.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I am having trouble staying awake.

Did I get any reading/studying at all done last night? No. None. I thought a little bit about capitalism and how it's not working out very well but that hardly counts. I'll try to squeeze in an online quiz now before class starts...[so ready to be on vacation!!!!]

Oh no, Amy. I only looked at Twitter to see all Kat's retweets and replies - that's a pretty good corner.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Guess who used a Italian-American swear word today and pronounced it perfectly? Hint: It wasn't me.

Now I want to know which word it was. Brava F! (Though I do understand how it's less than happy-making for mama.)

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

You know kids - they'll pick up anything and put it in their mouths.

Our wings are not tired.

I made the mistake of looking at Twitter when I woke up, and my mood plummeted.

Like -t my only exposure to Twitter today was the delightful Kat exchanges. And it is her birthday so extra shiny.

I'm feeling a lot better today than yesterday—for startes, I didn't wake up thinking it's Saturday! And I don't have a migraine!! I do have nasty fruit flies, a kitten who won't eat and whose food is attracting ants (the main food dish is in a thing of water but she makes such a mess with the syringe feeding that it gets everywhere), and no air conditioning even though it's suppoed to be 87 today...

Maria, it starts with the same letter as her name, it appears in the movie Greases uttered my Rizzo in Sandra Dee, and I honestly have no idea how to spell it. It's sort of a family tradition. I learned it from my mother and grandmother.

I grew up in a town that was mostly Italian ... I picked up quite a range of rude gestures (silent, though).
