I had a phone interview today at a college closer to my family. It went OK. I wasn't wowed about telling the HR person basically what was on my resume which she already had. But if she was satisfied then I will get called in for a Skype interview with people in the appropriate department.
I also got to have informal drinks with someone at another college where I've submitted an application. He's a friend of a friend who's in town visiting. That place sounds like a lot more fun than the first one but also not as financially stable as I'd like. (Not gonna lie—working for a place with a 6 billion dollar endowment is very soothing in these troubled times.) Still, if they reach out to me I might consider it.
Anyway, that was what the generalized~ma was for. I think it served its purpose, and I release it back into the Buffista ~ma pool, with considerable gratitude.
That all sounds pretty good Calli. Good luck!
After reading msbelle and Beverly's accomplishments, I feel bad about not attacking my to do list tonight, but it is hot, I am tired, and I really want to drink some wine and finish Jessica Jones season 2.
Y'all have exhausted me!
Beverly, wow, that is a lot in warm temperatures.
So fun, Gud! DH has planned on doing that for years but it hasn't happened yet. I could use that linky too, Dana!
msbelle, is it possible that Mac's car issues are inexperienced driver issues?
I think I am done with wedding prep for the most part. Just have to deliver the booze and electronics. The Slide show is tested. Photo booth tested. DH's clothes acquired. Nails done. And I made a scrunchy by covering a boring scrunchy with my dress fabric because no way my hair is going to be down in this heat.
We were doing the Holt side table arrangement and we have 26 Holts! Pretty good considering none of them are from my family. My Florida siblings are both too sick to travel, and my NY sib didn't know in time that they weren't going to make it. Oh well, looks like about 150 people to dance the night away with.
Sent, Laura. Hopefully it will be useful, at least to some extent.
I'm so excited for you Laura! It's going to be a wonderful wedding!
Mechanic could find nothing wrong with mac's car
Double-check the hazard lights and so forth -- he could have easily left something on that drains the battery overnight without knowing it. I have done so, at an age much more advanced than his!
I'm on my way to the beach to my son's wedding!!
Well, I leave in about 15 after I get my dress on. Just finishing some coffee.
I hope everything goes splendidly, Laura.
Happy wedding to the kids, and to you and DH, Laura!
