Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Ambitious, Gud. I hope everybody has fun with it.

I cleared out and cleaned the fridge and freezer yesterday, emptied all the wastebaskets and took everything to the garbage dumpster at the end of the street. Then I picked up prescriptions and damp-rids and did a massive grocery shop. I lost my expensive-to-replace clip-on magnetic sunglasses. I'd had them when I pulled into the checkout line, so I doubled back and stood in line to ask the cashier--"Someone found them, and they never even got run over!" so that was nice. I un-carred and got everything inside, did the freezer and fridge stuff. Put the staples by the pantry and the coffee and sugar by their cannisters, and flopped for a bit.

I had a chocolate dipped frozen sorbet bar and crackers and cheese for dinner so I could take meds because I absolutely didn't want to eat, much less cook.

Today I put the coffee and sugar in their cannisters and the staples on the pantry shelves. I will probably sort the recyling and take it all to the bins at the end of the street this afternoon, and I need to ransack the car and find H's zip case of CDs. The car we inherited from his mom, which he'll be driving cross country, has no streaming capability, so dvds it will be.

At some point I need to box up the case and time-sensitive mail, take it to UPS and ship it to him. He's clearing out closets and donating bed linens, towels, and usable clothing to shelters and thrift stores. I've called dibs on the glass-doored bookcase, the lighthouse print we had matted with lighthouse stamps for Fathers Day for his dad years ago, the aqua and white "chickens" pyrex baking dishes, the wood and iron coffee mill, and the mid-century modern armchair. Those are coming to us, along with family photos, the pysanky collection H made for his parents over the years, and the Ukranian marquetry boxes.

The Les Paul guitar is going to BiL's SO of 23 years, as it was how he courted her, back in the day.

Basically I just want to hide in the dark, cooler rooms in back of the house and nap until October or so. But nooo, I've got a challenge fic to turn in Wednesday, already on a hardship extension. Up and at 'em. Attagirl.

You can get a Bluetooth to FM radio adapter for pretty cheap. I used one for a bit and it worked pretty well.

Ambitious, Gud.

I tried to make the plans pretty simple. There are a couple of beveled cuts, but mostly very straightforward. Wiring up the joystick and buttons could be a bit messy, but not too complicated.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Are you using a Raspberry Pi, Gud?

I'm going to send you a link to my brother's blog, where he has (jesus christ) an 11-part series about building his own cabinet/emulator.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Mechanic could find nothing wrong with mac's car, so we picked it up. 1st load of laundry is put away, 2nd is drying, dishwasher was unloads, dishes in sink washed or put in dishwasher, box to sarah mailed - work mail picked up, all work invoices have been paid, and my daily reports are almost done. Full day - lots done, most of it from two rooms in my house - so I do not feel ragged.

I may go see a movie tonight. I also may start calling the vintage clothing store and make my upteenth attempt to connect with a person and schedule a drop off of items to see if they will buy any of them.

You're a machine, msbelle. That sounds exhausting.
