Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Thanks, everyone. Looks like a recurrence of cellulitis, which sucks but should be treatable. I'm waiting for my mom to wake up to hear the full report, so keeping my fingers crossed that nothing has crossed into the bloodstream.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good luck to your dad, Kate.

What kind of gift does one send to a very sick 3-yr-old who will be in a hospital for the foreseeable future?

I don't know, but that sounds awful. Books? Soft toys?

I'm 90% sure one of my team members is giving notice today, which is kind of a relief for various reasons, but I don't want to have to hire any more! Or do her job in the meantime! Wah.

Our wings are not tired.

Health~ma in abundance for your dad, Kate.

We had a 4th of July party at our new house because of the views, and damn can we see a lot of fireworks from here. It was just amazing. Also we have some pretty fun new neighbors.

Wonderful! I was wondering how the views were going to work out.

Puppy!!!! So young to be away from mom. So cute.

Hope the hiring process is easier this time around, Jesse.

Sarameg, I am really impressed with your calm progress in managing this vacation. Well done! Also, enjoy!!

Ann, that's a ferret.

I've had cellulitis a couple of times (from cat bites and scratches -- anyone surprised?). Needed IV antibiotics, and once I had to wear a splint to keep my middle finger from getting stuck in a bent position.

It isn't a big deal if treated promptly. The first time (when I had the splint that made me look like I was constantly giving everyone the finger), I would have waited too long if a vet tech hadn't told me to get my hand looked at right away.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Dana, could that just be the time of day that screen-time has been too much? Do you take a break from screens during lunch?

Some days I go out to lunch, some days I don't. So there's no consistent pattern there.

Health-ma for your dad, Kate.
