A little ~ma please, for my dad who had a gall bladder attack last night and has been admitted to the hospital. He's on antibiotics for now, and they're hoping they won't have to do surgery, but they've taken him off his blood thinners, just in case, and they're not letting him eat.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

~ma for your dad, Sue.

Jess, get the hell out of there. My rule is 15 minutes.

Sophia, I'm laughing, but damn...

Suzi, I hope Jack is a perfect gentleman all weekend.

But I don't get her and Tom and Nora for Thanksgiving, sadly.

Amy, you can come here for Thanksgiving. Seriously. Two turkeys, stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetables, wild rice, candied yams, pumpkin loaf, and at least 8 pumpkin pies. Plus us. We do dinner, not lunch.

(That offer is open to anyone who can make it to PA by 6ish tomorrow, btw.)

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Sophia, did you offer to trade not reporting the stolen goods on the shelf for two cases of cat food?

Health~ma for your dad, Sue.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Sophia, did you offer to trade not reporting the stolen goods on the shelf for two cases of cat food?

They gave me back the cat food!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Health~ma for your dad, Sue.

Glad your hand is feeling better, Dana!

Sophia, they were wise to give you your cat food back! Wonder how much beer the thief got.

Connie, did the bartender trade a beer for a cat? I'm putting that in a story sometime.

Yes, he did. He needed a new mouser. Said Gully Dwarf caught the cats by using wind-up toys that he'd set off near alleys, then he'd bag the cats when they came out to investigate. The wind-up toys were also useful for distracting guards.

That was a good campaign.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

They gave me back the cat food!

That's so great.

In other good neighbor/cat news, my neighbor signed for my cat's meds today! Which is a huge relief because god knows when they would have re-delivered.

I can't believe I am this person with $60 venison cat food and twice-daily meds. (I don't think she likes the venison that much, but at least that means she's not puking so much?)

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Sophia, I love that story, especially that they gave the food back.

I'm just about the last one in the office, and then I have to go to the computer shop where they are getting the data off my old external hard drive, and then to the store for a chicken and cold meds.

I hate being sick for the holiday, especially since I have to host Dad for Thanksgiving dinner. I'm making a chicken, two mini apple pies, cranberry sauce, and stuffing. Oh, and gravy and broccoli.

But I'm sick! Boo.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I just got OK'd to take Fridays off the rest of the year! (Well, it's using up vacation hours, but I need to use or lose them, so yay four-day workweeks.)
