They gave me back the cat food!
That's so great.
In other good neighbor/cat news, my neighbor signed for my cat's meds today! Which is a huge relief because god knows when they would have re-delivered.
I can't believe I am this person with $60 venison cat food and twice-daily meds. (I don't think she likes the venison that much, but at least that means she's not puking so much?)
Sophia, I love that story, especially that they gave the food back.
I'm just about the last one in the office, and then I have to go to the computer shop where they are getting the data off my old external hard drive, and then to the store for a chicken and cold meds.
I hate being sick for the holiday, especially since I have to host Dad for Thanksgiving dinner. I'm making a chicken, two mini apple pies, cranberry sauce, and stuffing. Oh, and gravy and broccoli.
But I'm sick! Boo.
I just got OK'd to take Fridays off the rest of the year! (Well, it's using up vacation hours, but I need to use or lose them, so yay four-day workweeks.)
Dana, glad you're recovering swiftly!
Sophia, that's awesome that they gave you back the food!
But I'm sick! Boo.
Yeah, me too. I'm taking cold meds, cough drops, and mainlining tea. Boo times two.
What a great story, Sophia! With a happy ending!
I hope you continue to feel better, Dana.
Dad~ma for Sue. Boo to being sick. Yay long weekends!
Sweet, Matt! I hope this doesn't translate with having to cram 6 days of work into 4 days.
Break time. I grocery shopped, cleaned out the fridge, put away groceries, cooked 6 pounds of cranberries, prepped and seasoned 3 pounds of Brussels sprouts (oil/maple syrup/ginger/nutmeg/S&P). I think I will prep the broccoli and cauliflower next. That is cooked with fresh basil, pine nuts, and lemon this year. Saving the mass quantity of chopping the squash and sweet potatoes for soup for my son since he has much bigger arm muscles.
Somehow managed to skip over a bunch!
Dad~ma in abundance, Sue. I hope they can get it under control without surgery.
Continued recovery~ma, Dana.
But I'm sick! Boo.
Boo, indeed. May it pass quickly for you and shrift.
What a great story, Sophia! With a happy ending!
Ha! Love that you got it back.
Consuela and shrift, sick over holidays is no good! Get well quick!
Said Gully Dwarf caught the cats by using wind-up toys that he'd set off near alleys, then he'd bag the cats when they came out to investigate. The wind-up toys were also useful for distracting guards.
That's the kind of campaign I like to play!
