Yeah, Toddson, there are outfits around here that have goats available for rent for clearing plants. Cows are not quite as willing to eat all the plants, but maybe they do enough for firebreak purposes? The cows have been out there for forever, I just didn't know whose they were.

God, I hope so. But so far the best estimate appears to be months of waiting until the water drops? Which will be traumatizing to those poor children. This reminds me that one of my few actual friends at work is suddenly facing a very messy divorce.
She found out her husband had stolen their son's graduation money, which led to the revelation that he (the husband) has been using meth! They have 4 kids, 2 are high school age and 2 small ones, one a toddler. She is supporting the family because he mysteriously can't keep a job, so he has been the most-of-the-time caregiver for the baby! I knew there was something screwy there, but I'M no expert on relationships.
