Thank you, Laura. I have a cup of tea and then we're off to a brunch, a museum, and dinner tonight. And I have a new Tulip Funko POP along with other spoils.
She is way too Extra for this time of the morning.
And they're changing the meeting, so I probably got up for nothing.
Ugh, Dana. Or however you say that in French.
Happy sj day!
Happy birthday, sj!
Ugh, Dana. Or however you say that in French.
Same way, but with a Gallic shrug, and possibly a Gauloise in your hand.
I'm pretty sure in French it's "Eugh."
Gud, if you can't afford a therapist (although some therapists charge a sliding scale based on ability to pay), please at least think about a support group. The National Alliance on Mental Illness and Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance both sponsor support groups. No cost to attend. I attend groups sponsored by both organizations, and they've helped my recovery a great deal.
I feel like I'm just a lousy person and people generally don't like me.
I feel like this too.
How can two such excellent people be so COMPLETELY FREAKING WRONG????
There are people who drag toddlers away from their parents professionally and go home apparently feeling great about themselves.
And then there are Gud and Nora, who actively work to make life better for those around them and feel bad about themselves.
This is topsy-turvy and needs to change.
Nora, I'm thrilled that you're taking steps to silence those lying voices and make your life better. Gud, I hope you will do the same, perhaps with some of the resources suggested upthread. You are both good people, made of stardust and enlivened by the breath of [insert deity of choice here, or alternatively, interesting aliens]. You have an intrinsic human value, magnified by the good you do everyday. I hope you'll soon be able to see yourselves the way we see you.
