Gud, I had seen the beginning of that film, but not the whole thing. That was fascinating.
Natter 75: More Than a Million Natters Served
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Mashed cauliflower with garlic, parmesan and cream cheese is smooth and creamy if the cauliflower is steamed sufficently and food-processed with allacrity. It does not taste quite like potatoes, but I love it with homemade sloppy joes (of the ketchup, molasses, and mustard type).
I made my sign for tomorrow. One side says "There is no room in Liberty and Justice for All for White Supremacy". The other side says,"Families Belong Together —- The American Dream Belongs to Immigrants and their descendants" Which is not terribly inclusive of Native Americans, but I cannot think of a better way to express what I mean. (I have more poster board, If a better line comes my way)
Things I refrained from putting on my sign: "You know its bad when the fat white woman shows up to march" and "Immigrants get the job done."
Ok, I have decided to go with "Would Mr. Rogers Take Kids Away From Their Families?"
I may or may not have drawn a Captain America shield at the bottom.
Capers are evil.
Turns out TJs at 9:45 on a Friday night is a bad idea. So crowded! But I got broccoli slaw and whole fat Greek yogurt, and crackers.
What do people use to create protest signs? Is there some sort of special paper t keep them from being floppy?
Anyway, I hate crowds and noise and NC outdoors in July. But it turns out I hate babies in kennels more, so I'm going to a rally today. It's at 10:30 so things won't be at their hottest yet. I figure even without a sign I'm another body there, and that's not nothing.
Grr. Asshole customer at my volunteer job left me shaken.
I used foam board for mine and then put the signs on with spray adhesive.

For a moment I thought you were speaking about asshole customers, and had questions about the foam board.

I've just used a cardboard box cut up, but I think most people use posterboard. One guy I saw today had his taped to a lacrosse stick, which I enjoyed a great deal.
