Thank you all for the kind birthday thoughts.
Happy birthday, David. You have taught me a great deal about how to define masculinity in a way I can live with, and those lessons have only gotten more valuable as time has gone on.
I love you. Thank you so much.
So sweet of you to say, Karl. I ordered a Fleur Mimosa at breakfast this morning, with a HIbiscus at the bottom. I pointed to the Wm. Morris flowered cuff of my jacket and told my waitress I was cultivating flower patterns in my life. And she said, "I just love boys in flowers. Makes my heart happy."
So here's to boys in flowers.
Ple, I made megan walker and Sean watch SO many weird DVDs on game night. French variety shows from the 60s and whatnot! We need some weird TV time.
Is Sean still in SF? Will he be around in two weeks when I'm there?
Mom took ltc out for most of the day today. So, I caught up on 12 Monkeys and Dietland.

He's already moved to Los Angeles.
He was complaining about the "arctic" winds before he left. I told him all of Michigan was laughing at him.
Heya, Hec. Happy Birthday!
I came across this from Twitter so maybe everybody know about it, but it's this remarkable anti-fascist film put out by the U.S. government in 1943 (and 1947). It feels so on point that I had to check with Snopes to make sure it was real. Snopes says it's definitely real.

Happy birthday, David! Boys in flowers are A+.
Happy birthday, David!!!
Just 2 more days in Texas. Am so ready to be home.
Awww, thanks for extra birthday wishes.
I feel like I have eaten all the fattening foods for a while, and should probably eat celery for the next four days.
Happy birthday Hecubus!
I brought a carrot cake into the office today.
I'm too stressed about all the news this week: all I do when I get home is binge on Steven Universe. With 10-minute episodes, I can watch half a season in an evening. SUCH a great show.
