Happy birthday Hecubus!
I brought a carrot cake into the office today.
I'm too stressed about all the news this week: all I do when I get home is binge on Steven Universe. With 10-minute episodes, I can watch half a season in an evening. SUCH a great show.
The news this week is stressing me out too. I wish I could chill this weekend, but I already have more than I can get done on my plate.
Happy belated, David!
Gud, I hope you will find some room for yourself and for your needs this weekend. It's OK to say no to things if you need the time.
And that's it for me, for I should be doing other things and not posting here.
Oh dear. A coworker just sent out an email asking a question "just for my FYI"

A lot of it is work for my wife's business so saying no won't be okay. But I self inflicted as well. I signed up to volunteer web development work for an organization working to hook up skilled volunteers with progressive women candidates. After the last couple of weeks, it's just too hard to not do anything. I need to finish up work to make room for what comes of that. I wish I could take a couple of weeks off to just write, but I don't see that happening... ever?
That's rough, Gud. You need to take care of yourself.
My increased vacation accrual showed up on my paycheck, hooray! Vacation starts in 4 weeks...
I was in a 1.5 hour meeting this morning, and didn't get any email notifications on my phone. I thought maybe the fiscal year was actually over! (Tomorrow is the actual last day.) But no, it was just my phone. Got back to my desk to 20 new emails and two voicemails. Will I actually make it to 5pm? WHO CAN SAY???
I feel like I have eaten all the fattening foods for a while, and should probably eat celery for the next four days.
I recommend a thin gruel.
Thought I posted earlier but apparently not. Hellish day that has resulted in my participation in over 60 phone calls. Ick! Hate phones! I hope it is settling down now. Exhausted.
Also, love my customers who are cool with texts and emails.
That's...a lot of phone calls, Laura. I'd be ready to bite after all that.
Carrot cake...that's vegetables, right?
Apologies for ellipses explosion.
