This is a time of celebration, so sit still and be quiet.

I don't know how to react to shootings anymore. I'm just exhausted.

This one is really getting to me. I don't want to speculate before there's some real information, but I think everybody suspects the motive.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Jesse, can you wear regular work clothes, but bring boots and pants to change into should you decide to go?

I'm on the exhausted bench.

Y'all, I hate this. I've been an activist all my life. When I couldn't do things physically, I wrote, and I contacted people, I argued and encouraged, drove people to the polls, made signs, contributed.

I know this has been their plan since inauguration night, and I hate it's succeeded with me, but I just... I'm worn out. I've got no more reserves of outrage and...just rage. I'm hoping this hiatus I'm trying to take will help top up my reserve tank, because I really really hate feeling both apathetic and impotent to withstand and work for change.

Sorry. Barriers are falling, too.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Jesse, can you wear regular work clothes, but bring boots and pants to change into should you decide to go?

I could, but that seems extra not-worth it. There will be another opportunity!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Birthday David!

Going to Concertino this weekend, which is near Boston. We are driving. I hope we encounter less traffic than we did on our trip to CT.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Happy birthday, Hec! Don't look at the news today, just play with your family and eat cake, okay?

Well, my day was a lot better before I came home. Ugh.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Thank you all for the kind birthday thoughts.

Happy birthday, David. You have taught me a great deal about how to define masculinity in a way I can live with, and those lessons have only gotten more valuable as time has gone on.

I love you. Thank you so much.

So sweet of you to say, Karl. I ordered a Fleur Mimosa at breakfast this morning, with a HIbiscus at the bottom. I pointed to the Wm. Morris flowered cuff of my jacket and told my waitress I was cultivating flower patterns in my life. And she said, "I just love boys in flowers. Makes my heart happy."

So here's to boys in flowers.

Ple, I made megan walker and Sean watch SO many weird DVDs on game night. French variety shows from the 60s and whatnot! We need some weird TV time.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Is Sean still in SF? Will he be around in two weeks when I'm there?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Mom took ltc out for most of the day today. So, I caught up on 12 Monkeys and Dietland.
