Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I don't know, but I spent too much money at Eataly this afternoon and then just made quick focaccia, and it was ALL WORTH IT. Although I really only want one bite at a time of the camembert. It actually is a little much, even for me.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Y'know, I haven't been to Eataly yet. I don't do much Italian though since I'm allergic to tomato and don't do well with dairy. It's limiting.

You can just buy cured meat! Or other meat! Or olives! Or bread! Or sorbetto! I don't know, the whole place is overwhelming and filled with everything.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Eataly is seriously dangerous to my wallet. I bought my grandfather a jar of hot peppers there last year that he hasn't stopped talking about yet. And we bought a forest honey that was amazing.

It's the perfect place to buy gifts! I got a theory somewhere that stuff you need, but better/more expensive than you'd buy yourself, is a good gift. So like cashmere socks or Eataly peppers.

I also don't eat things that had hooves. (I know, I'm difficult). I could do the bread!

I should go just to see how it compares to Latinicity.

Good food tha Papa won't actually buy himself is really the only gift I can get him. He loves $12 fancy tuna in oil but wouldn't buy a jar for himself.

That's such a good gift, though.

Also pasta! Also fish!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Woo hoo! There's a new season of Great British Bake Off available!

Actually it's the season from 2012, but it's new to America. But still Mel and Sue.

It's not on Netflix yet, but it's streaming off the PBS channel which I can get free on Roku (after I activated it.)

I'm all cued up for pleasant distraction.

I thought everyone looked younger, but I didn't want to google because I was afraid of spoilers.
