I am hoping the foundation has not split in half and we aren't going to be swallowed into the earth.
Look, at this point, the C.H.U.D.s are better than the goddamn GOP. Embrace the C.H.U.D.s.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

"fucking motherfuckers!"
That's my mostly internal monologue, whether I'm working or reading the news, so. I'm just glad a coworker is about to be out of the office for ten days, because she is making me crazy. And if I can't give constructive feedback, I just need to suck it up. (I should give constructive feedback, but today is not that day.)

Teppy's got a point.
I too am waiting to see the crap that will pop up on my latest FB post.
Tom and I, for likely reals, will leave the country if things don't improve in the November elections. If things don't turn around (due to trash people voting and/or election interference and cheating)
Mr. Loomy and I are having similar conversations. Britain may still be morons with regard to Brexit, but that's less awful than what's going on in the US.
The most telling thing, for me, is that my dad, a lifelong Republican, has officially registered as an independent. He's sure the border situation (i.e., the children in cages, which I can't even believe I'm typing) is what's going to sink Trump. I wish I had that optimism.
I wish I had that optimism.
Seeing as how we once thought that pussy-grabbing was a bridge too far, I fear I share your lack of optimism.
(nodding) Netherlands, Britain. We had seriously considered NZ quite a while ago, but we had no usefully income-generating skills to bring. However, we're a mere 30 minutes from BC, so there's that.
I remember someone linking to a "Do I qualify to emigrate to Canada(...or was it New Zealand)?" tool a jillion years ago. If I remember correctly, I just missed on points.
I don't think this will hurt Trump much. He would have to stop being very popular with Republicans and I don't see that happening. I think there will be some immigration bill with some sort of concession to Trump that will stop the policy and he'll declare victory. A few new cycles later, it'll be like nothing ever happened.
There are signs that while Trump's approval among Republicans seems to be holding steady, the overall number of people who call themselves Republicans is going down. Possibly way down. Amy's Dad is an example.
I wish I could be optimistic about anything.
