Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

I remember someone linking to a "Do I qualify to emigrate to Canada(...or was it New Zealand)?" tool a jillion years ago. If I remember correctly, I just missed on points.

Coding and Sleeping

I don't think this will hurt Trump much. He would have to stop being very popular with Republicans and I don't see that happening. I think there will be some immigration bill with some sort of concession to Trump that will stop the policy and he'll declare victory. A few new cycles later, it'll be like nothing ever happened.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

There are signs that while Trump's approval among Republicans seems to be holding steady, the overall number of people who call themselves Republicans is going down. Possibly way down. Amy's Dad is an example.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I wish I could be optimistic about anything.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

If this helps sink Trump, I don't know that it'll be readily apparent in his approval ratings. It'll happen because it galvanises his opposition to vote against him in large numbers, not because it turns his own people against him.

I'd contrast that with his efforts to ignite a trade war with roughly everyone. If that sinks the economy, I could easily see him haemorrhaging his own support, who are likely to be hurt worst (especially if China has any say in it).

Wow, apparently the Senate GOP is on board with passing something to stop the family separations. I guess the question is what they want in whatever bill.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I keep reminding myself that her stubbornness will likely serve her well later in life.

"Executive leadership skills" is my daily mantra.

My fear is that Trump will have done so much damage by the time something finally catches up to him that we won't ever be able to heal. My fear is this has already happened and we won't realize it until after 2020.

Ooh. I am intrigued by moving to the Netherlands. Even though I've never been there. And am not an entrepreneur. ...really I don't want to move, but maybe New Zealand? Or Canada, but Vancouver is crazy these days. Hmm.
