We're still working on a plan, but so far it involves being sent to prison and becoming somebody's bitch.

Our wings are not tired.

We ended up going for Thai food after bowling. We had intended to go to a German restaurant, but they were playing the soccer game on TV in the restaurant and the tables would not clear. So we walked next door and ate Thai after waiting over an hour for elusive schnitzel.

Sad Father's day for my cousins. My 1st cousin that we practically lived with growing up had a 46 yo son with Down Syndrome who suffered a stroke late last week. His uncle called me to let me know he wasn't going to survive. He spent the last few days surrounded by his large and loving family, including my sister, and passed last night. Trying to see if I can make it up there before services.

My departure is delayed because I need to get my son situated in a place of his own, so he and his father don't kill each other without me to referee. Found a place but haven't met with the management yet. Maybe today. DH is not thrilled about my leaving, but I have to get my place in Otter Lake cleaned and prepped for people visiting after the wedding in July.

The List, she is long.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

This Fathers Day was a little more rough than usual for me. Which I guess is a sign that I'm disassociating and/or repressing less, and maybe a good thing?

Also, I got my Civil Service title today. Yay.

I'm sorry, Tom. I hope that it is a good sign and that next year will be easier. Civil Service title?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Ah, nothing like waking up on Monday to a clusterfuck that other people are trying to push off on you even though it wasn't your fault and would have been avoided by them just following the goddamned instructions for once.

I'm sorry you had a rough day, Tom.

What is even happening?

I'm lying on the bed naked because it's still in the high 80s and we don't have AC. It's only going down to the high 70s tonight. It won't be fun. The DH hasn't wanted to buy an AC unit because it usually cools down at night, but I may just have to stomp out to Lowe's tomorrow and pick one up.

Raise your hand if you think Scrappy's husband doesn't want to buy an AC unit, because when she's hot, she lies naked on the bed.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Perhaps Scrappy should counter that chilly means snuggled under the covers and cuddling close for warmth?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

DH came up to bed and remarked "Nice outfit!" We just got back from Best Buy with two AC units and installed them. First world problem solved!

I look more rad than Lutheranism

It sucks when progress is measured by distress. And I *do* think it's a sign of progress for you, and progress is a good thing. But making progress can be hard as hell. It should be easier, damn it.
