Our wings are not tired.

So pleased to hear you are having this time together, Scrappy.

Yay swimming! I did 60 laps (home pool length!) for an hour this morning before the sun was high enough to hit the pool. The water is getting so warm.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Went to the Pirate Fest with my bellydance troupe and my parents today. It was actually chilly, which is quite the change from past years. I was on a quest for some kind of sheath or scabbard or sword-carrying device but was unable to find any. Did mind the rum drinks, the turkey legs, and 3 kinds of ice cream, and dry much enjoyed the entertainment. Good day.

City pool is still chilly; it has no heaters & our tap water is icy. And it's really big. Later in the summer, if/when it starts getting warmer (depends on a lot of things) I'll switch to the dive tank, which is always on the cold side. Morning olds club hrs are 9-12 & there's no shade then. Except under the deck umbrellas they bring out for us. We also rate deck lounges; those go away for regular hours because just too many people (Also: sedate olds, just swimming laps, gossiping &hanging in the water. Not a big need for any enforcement.)

Coding and Sleeping

Sounds like my Father's day celebration will be spending the day working on my wife's business. Today I spent mostly cleaning the basement.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Ok, Daniel and I made it to Fergus Falls. We spent some time with his mom then stopped at a grocery store to get some distilled water for his CPAP on the way back to the hotel. The Hustle comes on over the loudspeaker and I was alone in the aisle. I was born in 1970.

You know what I did.

Then a woman walks past the end of the aisle and says, "Awesome!"

I said, "It's been decades since I heard this. I had to!"

She replied, "Best thing I've seen all day."

Regarding lap swimming and water exercise, last weekend when I got ready for aqua Zumba, I heard thunder after I had my swimsuit on. Today? Getting ready to try out the hotel pool? I hear thunder.

That sounds like a lovely visit, Scrappy.

What was in the work air on Thursday? I got word that all staff must approve their timesheets online before supervisors approve them. The problem with that is, if staff approve their timesheets, supervisors cannot do things like fix missed time stamps, add PTO, and add shift differentials. When I pointed that out to my boss, my great-grandboss said, "You always have the best questions!" But gave no actual solutions. So two days before the end of the payperiod I had to round everybody up, explain what I had been instructed to say AND why that was BS, fix all their time sheets, have the ones who could, approve their timesheets. Then since Friday was the last day of the pay period, on Saturday morning I had to come back in, fix the timesheet of that night's overnight staff, have her approve her timesheet, and then approve everybody's timesheets myself. What used to be a 30 minute task now takes hours across three days.

Nevermind, I'm on vacation.

Gud, you work so hard. I hope you feel good about what you accomplish.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Tomorrow, clean & weeding.

This should be my plan, but I don't feeeeeeel like it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just did like five minutes of weeding (the yard is small and was just re-done a month ago) and another five minutes of sweeping (mostly cat scratcher bits) and feel better about my life. There is still actual cleaning to do, but that was the most egregious stuff.

I heard thunder after I had my swimsuit on. Today? Getting ready to try out the hotel pool? I hear thunder.

With the summer storm pattern I have been doing a lot of swimming in the rain. Lots of thunder all around me. For me it is refreshing and cooler than without rain! As long as it isn't pouring where I can't see I am out there.

Happy Father's Day to the Buffista dads.

DH is working on painting the boat and he has some torturous programming to do. Torture because he isn't a programmer and we don't have anyone right now to do what we need done. We do have an afternoon outing with the kids and Tate's parents later. Bowling then going to a German restaurant so schnitzel and beer can be consumed by those into it and I scoped out the menu and they have a berry filled salad with fish on top that works for me.

I desperately need to weed my yard. I've been putting it off.

Later I get a haircut! And then am deciding if maybe I'll go see Oceans 8!by myself.
