I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Gentle virtual hugs and bubble wrap for everyone.

Aw, my stylist just got married. She just got engaged Friday, but both of them lost a partner unexpectedly & were like, we know we want this, why a waiting period? Boom.

Coding and Sleeping

You thought you had a bad baseball team, Cincinnati, but the Royals just showed you what a bad baseball team really looks like.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Hugs and hairpats all around.

I'm vibrating with frustration. Today was the first day of set-up for DCC. Due to some WAY above my paygrade shenanigans, the convention center won't let us into ANY of the downstairs panel rooms, including our volunteer services break and check in rooms. So we are sorting and such in a hallway that we aren't really supposed to be able to occupy, but the current conference was gracious enough to grant my team that space.

Add other shenanigans and we didn't get our inventory to sort for swag bags or t-shirts to roll until almost 3pm (I got there around 9:15am). And now that I'm in my hotel room I just updated my t-shirt order workbook to track what we received against what we ordered and what our needs were (stale info, need to pull needs again) and we are WAY short on shirts. Like ridiculously short. But with an odd enough mix of sizes and colors, that it doesn't feel like we are just missing a box.

The leadership team will be picking up their shirts and other stuff tomorrow starting at 9am. There is NO WAY we will have a plan in place by then on how to try to cover this mess.

I'm so beside myself, I just want to crawl in a corner and cry.

FUCK. Somehow I have f'ed up the formatting here. I'm done. Drugs and bed.

ETA - the posting box gaslighted me. Once I hit post, it fixed the formatting. But it was all backwards and right aligned and a mess.

Our wings are not tired.

{{Buffistas}} May this Thursday be a better day.

So far today my biggest defeat is not being able to find a leash. Zoe was not amused when I had my shoes on and plastic bags in my pocket then told her we weren't going anywhere. It is surely in DH's truck, but can't find it. A couple more exist somewhere too. Most peculiar. I do have a fenced in yard so Zoe is okay, but I wanted to walk before it was too steamy.

Ugh, Suzi. What a mess.

I put on one of those binaural beats things to go to sleep last night, and it worked but I woke up as soon as it was over! With a little free-floating anxiety. So that's not the magic bullet for me, at least.

Good luck with all that, Suzi. What a mess.

Aw, poor Zoe.

Interesting, Jesse. I wonder if a different context would prove useful. Like, instead of trying to sleep you used them to relax during a break in the workday or some such.

There are a number of internet stations that stream binaural beats. There is also a YouTube video that goes 8 hours. Maybe look around. I just have it as background white noise while I am working.

Yeah, I just clicked on the first one that said it was for sleeping, and it was 90 minutes, so maybe I will try again.

Of course, I don't generally have trouble falling asleep anyway, but I hoped the brainwaves would stay settled or something? I can't figure out what to do about waking up at 4am.
