There are a number of internet stations that stream binaural beats. There is also a YouTube video that goes 8 hours. Maybe look around. I just have it as background white noise while I am working.

Yeah, I just clicked on the first one that said it was for sleeping, and it was 90 minutes, so maybe I will try again.
Of course, I don't generally have trouble falling asleep anyway, but I hoped the brainwaves would stay settled or something? I can't figure out what to do about waking up at 4am.
Sounds like I should definitely try binaural beats.
Hope I won't be too tired to remember what they're called.
I was thinking the same thing and just marked your post, Theo.
I tried them yesterday too! I liked some of them better than others!
Unfortunately, binaural beats work by sending slightly different sound waves to each ear. And as only one of my ears works, that's not a useful thing for me. On the other hand, tart cherry juice concentrate in seltzer an hour or so before bedtime seems to be working well these days, so I'm good.
amych, I'm sorry about your dad and grandmother-in-law.
That's interesting; I really didn't do any research into the hows or whys of the binaural beats. Just trying anything that doesn't involve medication to get my BP where it should be.
Cherry juice, eh? Intriguing.
Mmmm...cherry juice.
Haven't tried binaural, but melatonin at bedtime (and that means last thing as I turn out the light) helps. I can't always sleep, but at least I can rest.
I started taking magnesium to help with restless legs and it helps me relax over all. Not a lot but enough that sometimes I take it when there is a lot of phsycial anxiety.
Also I have a weighted blanket and that helps a tremendous amount.
I also got an update on Aunt Jane. It's more serious than they first thought but they are still saying she had a TIA and not a stroke but they dont know why. She's going to be in the hospital longer and she will need to go to rehab after and she won't be able to drive.
Dad is staying with Grandma and one uncle is staying with my aunt/getting her things from her house until my other uncle gets there.
My grandmother is upset and feels some responsibility even though she shouldn't but she did say she thinks she should go stay at an assisted living place. Which makes that decision easier. No decisions are being made right now. It's just wait and see.
