Thanks, everyone. We weren't very close, but he always seemed like a nice man. I think he was my dad's favorite uncle. He was suffering terribly with Alzheimer's toward the end.

I'm sorry, sj.
I appreciate the skill and talent of those involved in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend but I just can't stand watching it.
I was really torn between cringe and like for the first season or two of CXG, but it's gotten very...genuine? Something. Emotionally honest.
Glad the colonoscopy is over and done, Laura!
Crazy Ex Girlfriend is just perfect for me all weird and messed up with Broadway style music. and the diagnosis song from last season was the best thing ever.
I have made two onerous phone calls, made my lists door what I need for Fathers Day Brunch, and now I'm out to do errands with Thessaly.
My attempt at getting through a TV backlog is currently making my way through Leverage.
A+ life choice.
I don't really watch TV either, but I almost hate to say it because I don't regard it as some sort of virtue.
I hear that, Gud. I've forced myself to schedule in things like reading and catching up on TV and movies, because if I don't, I'll never get to it. Of course, it's easier for me because I'm only taking care of myself.
I find that I'm watching more PBS than anything else ... and, realizing that, I gave them some money (got a Dr. Who mug!).
I don't really watch TV either, but I almost hate to say it because I don't regard it as some sort of virtue. I just don't have time. I think consuming other people's creative output is a great thing no matter the medium.
This. So much this.
Leverage may be the perfect tv series, from several points of view. As much as I miss it, I think it ended at the perfect point in time, and in the characters' lives.
Longmire is another favorite. The landscape is actually a character in much the way the mountains were in Brokeback Mountain. Those characters would be vastly different and the stories would be too, in another environment. Plus, Saracen's Grandma is the office manager!

That just makes me want to rewatch FNL.
