"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Epic tantrum about leaving camp, including hitting the teacher. Bah.

Aw, kid. I'm sorry, sj.

Thanks, I'm embarrassed. ltc isn't used to someone picking her up when she's not listening. I physically can't so no one around me does either. Which doesn't justify hitting.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm sure this is no consolation at the moment, but this feels like just the right time for ltc to be learning this stuff.

I kinda feel like lashing out physically when getting picked up involuntarily is a good instinct. Which is probably not helpful. Sorry.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Sounds like the teacher learned a little lesson, too.

I had a ride up to Manchester NH (about 60 miles) so I made enough money to call it quite for the rest of the day. And had lunch at a Cracker Barrel in honor of my aunt.

Agreed! Also, trust me on this, they have seen worse.

eta: agreed that getting picked up involuntarily should elicit a response!

Yeah, that was the general consensus.
